How do you get a new food product in front of hard-to-reach buyers? The guardian's of our taste-buds are an elite group working for national and international multiple, major and minor retailers who can decide if a new product launch stands or falls when it is listed, or not, and just how many retail outlets it is going to be listed in? How do you grab their attention? At food shows and exhibitions where you know they will attend, mailing them with samples, through PR so they can read about your new product in the trade and consumer media? Or it it just being in the right place at the the right time?
I have a feeling it's a combination of the above and perhaps, if you have them, knowing who the right contacts for your particular product are.
